Europe Highlights: Beaches


The classic European tour is essentially a cultural enrichment one - punctuated with visits to the medieval towns with castles, forts, towers and churches, listening historical accounts or stories, or walk through the cobblestone streets to take in contemporary art, fashion, food or coffee scene. At first glance, it may seem that the beaches of Europe are a misnomer, since the geographical character of Europe, where a number of European cities are landlocked. However, for European cities with a coastline, you can be sure the beaches or offer panache something, or something culturally rich, or both.
Travelers who travel around the world in search of beach experiences will quickly realize the fundamental differences between the beaches of Europe vis - vis the beaches of Southeast Asia.
For one, the beaches in Europe (or plages in French) are the most visited seasonally during the summer months (May to October). The attraction of the beach season also means that Europe's popular beaches can be crowded during the summer. Do not expect privacy as many Europeans want to go to the beach on a hot day to soak in the sun.
