Koh Chang: Beauty on the Beach


If you've seen the film Collateral, starring Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx, Foxx could remember how, a taxi driver, get through the difficult times in his life. Clipped to the visor in his cab is a picture of beautiful island. Whenever you feel sad or a day less than stellar, look at the picture and away from their problems and helps you to remember that there is more to life than driving a taxi.

Maybe you've thought about it at one time or another, palms, white sandy beaches and crystal blue sea, drinking a cold beer and take it all? For some, Pattaya is too in your face, Koh Samui and Phuket, Hua Hin very touristy and is only missing the "it" factor. Or maybe you've already been to these places and are just looking for a change. Koh Chang is about six hours from Bangkok by land. You can fly Air Bangkok to Trat close (an hour and five minutes), but you have to make a song Thaew the dock and then the ferry to Koh Chang.
